Five Rivers 2 Beat Portsmouth University in a close match.

With the home team having higher Gradings in 3 of the strings, the match was always going to be in their favour. This turned out to be the case with a Home win.

On paper, the number 2 string should have been the closest, with only 5 ranking points separating the two players before the match. Home advantage prevailed though, with Gilbert Harrington winning through.

It was the number 3 String which turned out to be the most competitive, with the Players battling out over a total of 90 Points ! Victory finally going to the Away Player, George GS Salisbury.

Player of the tie was the Away No. 1 string, Hugo HM Marrison, gaining 40 Ranking Points from the match.

Player of the match must be the Away number 1 string, Hugo HM Marrison, who over-turned a 150 ranking points disadvantage to record a great win.

If the Home No. 4 player, Matt Aldridge, had not had to withdraw after 2 game(s) the result could have been closer.
